At Ridge View, our breeding program is focused on building high-quality Highland herd with purpose. We are passionate about good genetics, sound structure, temperament and producing cattle that are both beautiful and functional.
Our long-term goal is to develop a carefully selected breeding program incorporating artificial insemination and embryo transfer, allowing us to introduce outstanding Highland genetics and continue building the Ridge View fold.

At Ridge View, we are committed to preserving the heritage and character of the Highland breed. Our breeding decisions are centred around maintaining strong Scottish Highland bloodlines while selecting for sound structure, temperament, longevity and overall functionality.
Through careful selection of registered genetics, AI and future embryo transfer, our aim is to build a modern breeding program while remaining true to the origins and distinctive qualities of the Highland breed.
Reproductive management
Ridge View combines hands-on cattle experience with formal training in livestock artificial insemination and pregnancy testing. These skills support our approach to planned breeding and help us make informed decisions as our breeding program develops.

Embryo transfer & future genetics
